For as long as I knew the site was up, Afro-Punk was my refuge from the silliness and drama that comes with sites such as Facebook and MySpace. It was a site for those who thought, lived and looked like we live outside the box. Punks, hip-hoppers, writers, musicians or just regular joes who had something to say.
It was a refuge for many Blacks who didn't cater to what we supposedly were supposed to cater to.
Then the shit hit the fan....Afro-Punk Community Guidelines.
Now I am all about kicking a motherfucker to the curb when they get out of hand but this site has always attracted some of the most respectful, level headed/minded people I will ever have the pleasure of talking to. On or offline.
It boils down to corporate sponsorship and featured bloggers who do shit that is totally against the so-called Community Guidelines.
Why fix shit that ain't broke?
